Friends, hi, my name is Gaylon Kent and I’m the founder of Our American Way. It was formed because I am not happy with our country, perhaps not any happier than you are.

Those currently in charge of our government have no interest in addressing America’s problems in a reasonable, non-partisan manner; if they did, they’d be addressing them.

But they’re not, of course. Their only concerns now are further consolidating wealth and power and forcing their specific ideologies down our throats. There is no middle ground in America anymore.

If there was, and we had responsible government America would not be a partisan, fractured, and bickering mess and we’d all be doing something else right now.

And a hundred years from now when all new people look back at the era in the US they will note that you and me – we the people – tolerated it. We did nothing about it on Election Day.

It’s time to change that.

It’s time to take charge and get our country back. It’s time to put America on a course that ensures long-term stability.

Friends, anyone who thinks America can manage perpetual war, tens of trillions of dollars of debt, and our deep social divides with impunity is deluding themselves. We can’t and we won’t. Eventually, America will fall, we will not be able to govern ourselves and someone else will come in and do it for us.

It’s time for you and me – we the people – to step in and prevent that.
